USA vs. Canada meet in the men’s ice hockey gold medal game on Sunday after the American women rallied to defeat the Canadians in overtimeearlier in the week to claim gold.
The US have a chance to win their first men’s hockey gold medal since 1980 in Lake Placid, N.Y when a group of college players upset the Soviet Union, which won four straight golds, in the semifinals before beating Finland in the championship. Meanwhile, Canada last won gold in 2014 when it beat Sweden 3-0 in Sochi to claim its second-straight championship in men’s hockey.
