BOOK CLUB: GLORIOUS EXPLOITS 📚
Next up for the Lowertown Book Club: Ferdia Lennon's "Glorious Exploits" — Sunday, October 11th at 11am.
Syracuse, 412 BC. Two out-of-work potters go down to the quarries where captured Athenian soldiers are being held and talk them into staging Euripides. Lennon's debut won the 2024 Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize, and it's narrated in a modern Irish vernacular that shouldn't work and does.
Same low-key format as always. Read what you can, no pressure to have finished.
