Lead the day shift at Ann Arbor's neighborhood coffee destination

Lowertown Bar & Cafe is a thriving community hub on Ann Arbor's north side, and we're seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to oversee our daytime coffee operations (8am-4pm). This role is perfect for someone who loves building community through exceptional coffee service and has the operational chops to keep a busy cafe running smoothly.

What you'll do:

• Oversee daily cafe operations including staff scheduling, inventory, and vendor relationships

• Lead and mentor a team of baristas, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment

• Ensure consistent quality in both beverages and customer experience

• Handle opening/closing procedures and maintain operational standards

• Work closely with ownership to develop the cafe's growth and community presence

• Maintain relationships with local suppliers and partners

What we're looking for:

• Previous management experience in a cafe or restaurant setting

• A passion for coffee culture and creating welcoming vibes

• Minimum 3 years coffee shop/cafe experience

• Open availability, 5 days per week required

• Hospitality-minded with a genuine guest-focused approach

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to balance operational efficiency with warmth and community connection

• Reliable transportation
